So far today has been a bit of a nightmare, started the day been hit on the head with the curtain pole as i opened the curtain. Plaster everywhere, hole in wall and a smashed owl. Just what you need before Christmas. So i took myself off to the kitchen put on the B0b Dylan Christmas album and make mince-pies.
Tomorrow i've got a chocolate chestnut cake to make and braised red cabbage.

Stupid cats
The cats aren't allowed in the spare room. They create too much havoc. I'm getting things ready for the Courtyard Bazaar next weekend. Left the door open for 2 minutes came back and they'd made themselves nice and comfy.

New Dream Bike
This is my new bike. Well i was going to tinker with it then sell it, but i love it. I already have a bike but its pink and doesn't go with my outfit for the up-coming tweed run. So after adjusting the seat on this one and realizing i can reach the pedals, i'm keeping it. Needed some cleaning so i spent the day cleaning it instead of job hunting. Day well spent.
It was covered in oil and some of the chrome was a bit rusty. Bit of elbow grease and it came up a treat.
Bit of internet searching told me you could find out the date the bike was made by looking a number on the hub. Cleaned all the shit off and found out it was made in 1974.

Sunday VW Fun
So today was the day of the volks world show. We thought we'd go and get some ideas for doing up Bertha. We sat in a traffic jam for 2 fucking hours, slowly crawling to the showground entrance. It was a good looking traffic jam with some lovely campervans queuing but it was a traffic jam non the less. When we got there it was all a bit strange. Everything seemed to be crammed in and they're weren't too many T25's, Lots of Spiltys and Bays. Jim saw some cars he liked but as i girl i can only comment on the colour of them and the interiors. I cant even drive. Looking back i think the queue was the most exciting bit of the day. It was ok but not really what i'd been expecting, maybe summer shows are better, dunno.
Much more exciting was this sandwich i made
Somehow i have got to the age of 29 without ever roasting a joint of beef. On the way back from the camping van show we went to the farm shop. They had joints of beef for 3 quid in the oopps section. So i bought one roasted it, ate some and made the leftovers into me dinner for tomorrow.
